ENHANCE STAFF PRODUCTIVITY BY PROMOTING THEIR STRENGTHS

Many bosses spend too much time trying to change employees under their charge who are under-performing. They believe that they can change an employee to improve on his performance by simply giving him additional training or sometime even give them a threat of dismissal !

Any successful boss normally concentrates on developing the strengths of his/her team members, and not trying to correct their weaknesses ! Sometimes you have to work round a weakness, but you cannot change people into what they are not ! No matter how much force you exert on them ...

If you have a staff on your team who is not performing, not giving cooperation, creating problems or not reaching the KPI quota, then you have to decide on what to do with him. You can't just close one eye hoping for it to settle by itself.

An employee may try to convince his boss all out, of his capabilities because he is unwilling to accept defeat, but many people are in the wrong jobs and industries. Bosses should ask these questions: Is this person not producing results because he does not have the ability, or can that be resolved with more training? Or is there another reason behind his poor performance?

It is important to recognize that the individual simply cannot do the job. So what you can do in this situation is to assign him duties in areas where he can produce better results. If that does not help, then as last resort, get him out of your team.

Sometimes bosses have to accept the fact that some employees simply do not have the cut, skills or the characteristics to do the job. No amount of training, motivation or pep talk can change that. In my past managerial experiences, I often find that these people are dissatisfied with their jobs and are more than happy to be transferred.

If you are faced with this dilemma, this may not be easy to solve. But as a manager, you need to address these issues immediately for the good of the team and the organization.

It is vital to give your staff feedback on their strengths and their weaknesses. However, these should only be weaknesses that you know the individual can do something to improve it.

Do not waste your time and effort trying to work on weaknesses that cannot be sorted out. Accepting the fact that some people just cannot build relationships with customers or cannot work as fast as they are required, may be better in the long run.

To be productive, provide your staff feedback on their strengths and how they can develop or enhance that even further. Many bosses spend most of their time with team members trying to resolve their weaknesses and have little time to point out their strengths, which to me is more critical actually !

LEFT nose Vs RIGHT nose

Have you ever woke up one morning and feeling tired ? Or having a headache from too much work?
Well, I got this article from a friend thru email quite sometime ago, I thought it's worth sharing ...
We all have left and right noses, agree? But are they used for the same purpose - ie. inhale and exhale?

Actually they have specific task. In fact we can feel the difference - by trying breathing from one side of the nose at a time. The right side of our nose represent the sun, left side represent the moon.

When having headache, try to close the right nose with your finger and breathe through your left nose instead. Do this for about 5 minutes, headache will be gone.

If you feel tired, do the opposite, ie. close your left nose and breathe through your right nose. After a while, you will feel your mind is fresh again.

Right side belongs to heat, so it gets hot easily, left side belongs to cold.

Most of the girls breathe with their left nose, so their heart gets cold easily.

Most of the guys breathe with their right nose, that's why they get angry easily.

Do you notice the moment you wake up, which side of your nose breathes faster? Left or right?

If left is faster (stronger), you will feel tired. To overcome this, close your left nose and use your right nose for breathing, you will get refresh quickly.

This techniques can be taught to kids too, but the effect will be better if applied by adults.

Most people when they have headache problem, or not able to study/work, they take medicine, but that is not good.

Why not sit down and close your right nose and breathe with left nose. In less than one week, insyaAllah your headache problem is gone!

This is what I experienced myself, I told others if they’ve headache, can try this way, because this is effective for me. Many people have tried and it works for them as well.

This is a natural breathing therapy, not like medicine, taking for long term will get side effects. So, why not try this out ? After all it’s FOC ;)

My last word : Keep on breathing so that your body can feel very relax... kuang kuang kuang !

Sentiasa ingat bahawa nombor kecemasan untuk semua telefon adalah 112. Jika anda dalam kecemasan dan berada dikawasan tiada liputan untuk semua talian telefon bimbit yang anda gunakan, cuba dail nombor kecemasan 112.

Ia boleh digunakan walaupun di kawasan yang tiada liputan dan lebih menarik lagi,ia boleh terus didail walaupun papan kekunci telefon bimbit anda dikunci (Keypad lock)

KERETA TERKUNCI
Pernahkah anda tertinggal kunci kereta dalam kereta dan kereta anda ketika itu terkunci dari luar. Mesti anda lakukan pelbagai cara untuk mendapatkan kembali kunci bagi membuka semula kereta anda. Jangan risau,telefon bimbit boleh membantu,tapi bagi kereta yang menggunakan system penggera (alarm) sahaja .

Kerana itu juga, penting untuk anda menyimpan kunci pendua atau meminta orang yang anda percayai untuk menyimpannya. Penting juga penggunaan telefon bimbit dalam keadaan sebegini. Kaedah ini memang berkesan kerana beberapa orang telah mencubanya.

Mungkin ramai tidak tahu,telefon bimbit yang telah kehabisan bateri masih boleh digunakan dalam keadaan kecemasan kerana ia mempunyai fungsi untuk menyimpan bateri tambahan.

Untuk mengatifkannya, tekan kekunci *3370# . Telefon bimbit anda akan berjaya dihidupkan semula dan skrin telefon akan memberitahu telefon tentang penambahan kuasa bateri sebanyak 50 peratus.

Kuasa tambahan ini juga akan dicas semula bila anda mengecas telefon bimbit anda . (NOTA : untuk sesetengah model NOKIA sahaja)

TELEFON KENA CURI
Bagaimana jika telefon bimbit anda dicuri ? Anda boleh menjadikan ia tidak dapat diaktifkan dengan menekan nombor siri yang terdapat di telefon bimbit anda, sila dail *#06# dan 15 digit nombor siri telefon bimbit anda akan tertera di skrin.

Nombor ini adalah unik untuk setiap telefon bimbit. Catatkan nombor siri ini dan simpannya di tempat yang selamat. Bila telefon bimbit anda dicuri, anda boleh hubungi pusat servis telefon bimbit anda dan berikannya kod nombor siri tersebut.

Mereka kemudiannya akan mengunci system dalam telefon bimbit anda dan sesiapa sahaja yang mencurinya pasti hampa kerana walaupun kad simnya telah ditukar, dia tidak akan berupaya mengaktifkan kembali telefon bimbit tersebut.

Jadi, walaupun ia di curi, namun sekurang-kurangnya anda berpuas hati kerana si pencuri takkan boleh menggunakannya ataupun menjualnya... ;) kuang kuang kuang !
